Raw Barrel Condition

These staves are removed straight from used whiskey barrels and are not cleaned before shipping. Expect heavy char, loose char, dirt, barrel residue, stains, discoloration, dents, natural bow, weathering, and other signs of barrel use. Customers should plan to clean and prepare the wood for their project.

Superficial cracks and small splits are normal on reclaimed barrel staves. Completely broken staves will not be included.

Bung Staves

Bung staves include the original bung opening. Superficial cracking around the bung hole is common and is considered normal reclaimed-barrel character.

What Is Included

One reclaimed whiskey-barrel stave in the selected width range. Hoops, bung plugs, finish, and project hardware are not included.

Calculated shipping applies to raw barrel staves. These full-length staves normally ship by UPS and cannot be sent to a P.O. box using our standard shipping method.
